If I could go back to a perfect day
the sun is shining
through an open window
the air smells fresh 
of soap
and dirt
and pollen
as the floor dries 
from a fresh moppen.
And we are sitting,
having coffee.

Rebecca Cristante is a multidisciplinary visual artist and storyteller, working primarily in painting, printmaking, and photography. As a self-taught artist, her work is heavily influenced by the history and ecology of the rural southern United States. Her first collection of poetry entitled, thereismorepavementthanwildernesseastofthemississippi was published in 2020. She currently lives with her two sons next to a little urban creek in Decatur, GA.
